Step 1 - The Eco-Schools Committee
The following is a general description of the committee: The first eco initiative was formed under the name of Earth Club to give awareness to students regarding conservation of environment and sustainability within the school. Since this year, we have changed the name of the Earth Club to Eco Green Club to attract more students towards a school wide approach to carry out Eco activities. In May 2013, an eco committee was necessarily formed to monitor different activities carried out by students, staff and parents. Currently, the eco committee consists of 7 active members.
The following groups are represented in the committee: - Pupils
- Teachers
- Non-teaching staff of the school
Gardener, Maintenance team
- School Management
- Parents
The committee members are chosen in the following ways: They volunteer themselves
Pupils in the committee are given the opportunity to nominate adult members: No
The committee holds meetings at this frequency: Once a month
